How often does Cluster Suite check the status of services and how can I configure it?

Resolution:

By default, Cluster Suite checks the status() function of the supplied init script, supplied by the service, every 30 seconds. This parameter can be adjusted by editing the /usr/share/cluster/script.sh file. Look for the following line:



The interval of “30s” can be changed to any value, with a minimum of “5s”.

    I would expect articles from Red Hat Magazine, not FAQ answers. I would expect to find this article in http://kb.redhat.com/ not on http://www.redhatmagazine.com/

    We like to try out many different kinds of content here at the magazine.
    

    And you’re totally right–as it says in the fine print, this type of “tips and tricks” post is taken directly from our Knowledgebase.  We hope that sharing them like this lets people who might not otherwise know about kb.redhat.com in on the lil secret you already understand.
